TRAFFICKING & EXPLOITATION IN MISSOURI
Most of us can understand the mission of reaching exploited individuals in large metropolitan areas, in coastal areas, in border areas. What we don’t necessarily understand is that trafficking is everywhere. It’s in the big cities, but it’s also in small cities, in rural communities, in townships and counties across the world. And whether a victim is in a big city or a small one, a bustling metropolis or a rural community, they are worthy of freedom, dignity, and restoration.
"Why are we here? Because NightLight was founded with the vision of pursuing those who have been forgotten or overlooked, those who have slipped through the cracks, those who have been rejected or dismissed. These are valuable human beings, unique in the things they've experienced and resilient in their journey of recovery. Each woman has a story, a dream, a purpose. And each woman deserves to live the life she was created to live, just like you and me."

We reach women wherever they're working and strive to connect with each one individually, as a woman who is unique and worthy of love.
We foster awareness on the issue of sexual exploitation through community events and collaboration with other local organizations.
"I fought to get away and not be mixed up in that. A special person helped me with the first step of my escape. Through a few other steps, I am now in the hands of NightLight… I daily thank God that I got out, but still [my traffickers] try to find me, so NightLight has come to my rescue and given me a new look on life with a chance to heal and recover—not only physically, but also emotionally from the trauma. NightLight is getting me away from the area, putting us in a safe location where we can breathe again without fear or worry. We are free."
